In celebration of Women's History Month, Kickass Women of History, in partnership with Wikipedia's Women in Red project, is hosting a week-long Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon from 23rd to 29th March, 2025. This exciting initiative aims to empower listeners and participants to help close the gender gap on Wikipedia by creating and editing articles about remarkable women in history.
Throughout the week-long Edit-a-Thon, participants will have the opportunity to contribute to the growing body of knowledge about extraordinary women who have shaped history.
The event will take place entirely online, allowing participants from around the globe to join in, regardless of location. The event hashtag #kickasswiki will be used throughout the week to track contributions, share tips and updates, and celebrate progress.
Neither Amy or Emma have written for Wikipedia before, so please don't feel daunted if this is outside of your comfort zone. We will be sharing our progress and experience here, so we can all learn from each other!
